Raron (LSTA) ->

Customs

Customs is available for the Fly-in weekend (19..21-AUG) direct at the airfield Raron.

Please show up at the C-Office to close the flight plan required to enter the Swiss airspace and file the customs form.

Zoll

Sie können während dem Fly-In Wochenende vom 19.-21. August die für Einflug in die Schweiz nötige Zollerklärung nach der Landung in Raron abgeben.

Bitte kommen Sie zum C-Büro und lassen den für den Einflug in den Schweizerischen Luftraum erforderlichen Flugplan schliessen. Bei dieser Gelegenheit können auch die Zollformalitäten erledigt werden.

The good news...

In Gampel (5 km W of Raron airfield, NE of Turtmann airfield) the Open Air Gampel is held on the same weekend like the EAS Fly-In, 18..21-AUG.

Thursday: Family Force, Sina + Guests, Liquido, Die Happy, Reamonn, Jimmy Cliff and Joe Cocker (CHF 70 on site)

Friday: Gingala, Phenomden, GMF, Open Season, Lovebugs, Sportfreunde, Stiller, Silbermond, The Roots, KORN (CHF 76 on site)

Saturday: Tight Finks/The Fuckadies, Shiva, Aextra, Stress, Gigi Moto, Sam Ragga Band, Negative, Archive, A, Wir sind Helden, Nek, Shaggy (CHF 76 on site)

Sunday: Bluesbueb, El Tattoo del Tigre, Florian Ast, Juliette & the Licks, Beatsteaks, Söhne Mannheims (CHF 56 on site)

...and the bad news

Hotel rooms for this weekend are hard to find in the area. The committee will do the best to arrange rooms and beds for the visitors requiring. The distance to the airfield might be longer as usual. FMI see Accommodation below!

If possible please join us on the airfield campground (requires tent), hangar (sleeping bag) or for the Swiss Military Shacks (requires sleeping bag).

In Gampel (5 km W vom Flugplatz Raron) findet am östlichen Ende des Flugplatzes Turtmann das Open AIr Gampel statt - ebenfalls am EAS Fly-In Wochenende vom 18.-21. August.

...und die schlechte Nachricht

Hotelzimmer sind für dieses Wochenende in der näheren Region eher Mangelware. Die Veranstalter tun Ihr bestes, um - je nach den Wetterbedingungen - für alle Interessenten Zimmer zur Verfügung zu haben. Mehr Informationen bei Unterkunft.

Wir bitten wir die Besucher, die Übernachtung im Zelt auf dem Flugplatz, im Hangar (Schlafsack ideal) oder die Militärbaracken vorzusehen (Schlafsack).

We have managed to find enough hotel rooms under pre-reservation, e.g. there is no cost impact on VFR or METEO issues. Please contact us for your Hotel booking after closing the flight plan and clearing customs. Priority for the rooms have people with pre-bookings by e-mail, see the accommodation page.
